Congress has been telling you they can’t do what they were elected to do… Can You Hear Them…

“OUR Congress is MOOT”. And they are telling you they can not do what we have elected them to do. How does one come to this determination… With their own words….

We will wait till the next election and let the voters decide !

What they are saying is “I’m to scared to vote because I will either get voted out or loose my lobby money”.

I can not believe that I can keep hearing this a year after every congressional election.

Are they saying that we really do not need them but need a national referendum. It sure sounds like it. But gee.. that actually sounds like a better idea since they can not come to a decision or vote on a issue in 6 – 18 months, we just need to vote and save ourselves the expense of their wage, expense account, the cost of lobbying, flying them around the world.

Yes I think those that have been using this language should be finding themselves a NEW JOB BY VOTER REQUEST !

Cain may be washed-up & out but one message will resurface-TAX REFORM

Yes, you can probably count Cain out of the Republican race by now. This would be his own fault. If you are going to play the national stage, you had better at least keep up with current events in a national election.

But one of his messages, that resurfaces almost every presidential election, is tax reform. Each time it takes a new face and name and Cain called his the 9 9 9 plan.

If you care to take a close look at his or other tax reform proposals AKA ” FAIR TAX” “FREE TAX” etc, you will find one thing “missing” from the big shell game of tax re-writing…

Corporate Taxes. That is because they do not contain any. Corporations do not pay sales tax, citizens do.

It is worth noting for all the tax give backs and reforms and lowering the rates of corporations in the last 20 years, our economy seems to get worse as our debit level must be filled by other means or we need to borrow to cover the expenses we had not to mention growth in the expense of those programs.

The only fair tax is a flat tax for all. Including the corporate world. This should also eliminate all the tax subsidies we the people give them. Till the day when someone stealing 5 million dollars from 100’s of folks spends as much hard time in jail as the guy who robbed the old lady for 100 bucks, they should pay more. Till the day a company can loose its life on war, they should pay more. Till the day the average taxpayer is to big to fail, they should pay more.

In any case we can expect whoever wins the Republican nomination will need a similar message so watch the shell game on who actually is paying the taxes in the reform. There is always a difference between what they tell you to get support for a change and the final wording that is done in a committee after the bill has passed. And this is where the lobby groups have their way or shall we say… get what they paid for !

It is about time we compare Apples and Apples.
What is good for the goose is good for the gander and Jon Stewert has put a very good foot forward in a proper comparison.

It is very interesting to stumble on very enlightening clips from CSPAN while I was doing research for other work/articles. So please take the time to watch and listen to what these folks were saying 10 years ago.

Obviously, the legislative rules created from this were watered down to non-existent after the legislation past during sub-committee “wording” changes are made by “Corporate Lobbyist” much like the last 3 Credit Card Reform Acts have been.

Personally, I do not care if the President is Black, White or Purple or From Kenya, Russia or China. He is the current President and holds the shape of the future in his hands and you don’t normally get more than one chance to get it right so for yourself and kids sake, all had better wish him success for it as it is your own success or failure. I have said the same for the last two Presidents.

I can only guess that many of you placing comments on net blogs are the same folks that were paying all the attention to the Monica Lewinsky matter.
And while your attention was focused on that meaningless set of facts, Congress was busy “repealing the Glass-Steagall Act” that enabled the Banks to trash this country in less than 9 years. To show how effective this is… most of you still do not understand or know that this really happened or what the act was created for. What was the term Reagan used… oh… smoke and mirrors.

Shame on you that are not much more than a bunch of sheep to be herded.

You do not have to be collage educated to be educated. I guess it is easier to let the talking heads on the Radio and TV think for you.
But do they really point to the clean water? Don’t ask me to drink from the same troth as you.
