First, I would like to know just who thought it was a good idea to basically assassinate all of Iran’s leaders……. Israel being the likely candidate.
And now you wonder why you can’t negotiate with them ? You killed off all the moderates who would negotiate. The hard-liners are all that remain in charge.
So, you can’t get a deal. Gee…. go figure. Tough guy talk is going to get you nowhere. You have had 6 months for any indication that helps and it is a no-show.
In fact it is even worse.
Iran has less to loose here than the US or the rest of the world. And they at least have the incentive to continue this till US mid-term elections.
Then what ?
We will have to wait and see, but the answer will likely come from the rest of the world that is more disaffected than the US. There are quite talks from a lot of EU member nations and others that have a new found interest in freedom of navigation mindset traditionally upheld by the US, mainly because the US had the strongest navy in the world to enforce it.
But as anyone can see, the system of warfare has changed in a more dramatic way whereas drone/robotic warfare levels the playing field for many poorer or smaller nations of the world and on the cheap.
The politics of this fact has yet to be realized. No longer can the concerns of many nations be totally ignored.
And now we have a wake-up call on the importance of both the freedom of navigation and the importance of breaking virtual mob control of energy markets.
I have always said energy diversification was a national security issue. Am I wrong ?
The world is getting it’s ‘come-up’ns’ long overdue. The world is waking up to the corruption that flows with control of energy.
