How this petition system works at the White House.

Anyone can submit a short petition. When the petition receives 150 votes, it will become publicly viewable.

When the petition get 100,000 votes, The White House will read and take action on it.

Seems like a small bar but this must happen within 30 days or less and is a bit harder to pull off without using other forms of awareness. So you have until April 9, 2013 for this issue.

Fugitive EX-COP Dorner Big Target – Are We Getting The Whole Story ?

The bad: This whole story looks like a Hollywood Movie.

Even worse: This sounds like a Hollywood Movie.

I do not like defending what most folks have already made their mind up as a guilty person fleeing the law. He may indeed be guilty of murder among other things.

First it needs to be said that I hope all that all that has been said about this individual is true. They have devoted a bunch of men and money and time to seemingly “make sure they kill him” and not take him in. Yes, it appears that they are after him in a way that will promote bloodshed in a firefight and clearly have the upper hand to do just that.

My experience in watching how the law enforcement deals with these alleged criminals has created some deep opinions about what I see and what the truth actually ends up to be when all the facts are sorted out afterwards.

I hope I am wrong with what I am about to say…

Something stinks here !!!!!!!

Whenever law enforcement, most especially the L.A.P.D. and F.B.I. make a bunch of demonizing statements to publicly slander opinion about an individual, there normally ends up to be much more behind the story. They do this to justify the enormous actions they are taking.

The more dangerous the alleged criminal seems, the more outlandish resources they can throw at the problem.

While I am not a conspiracy theorist, I only need to remind all of you that something here smells and folks are innocent until proven guilty. He indeed may be guilty but it does seem there is something missing in this story.

Somehow, I don’t think we are going to get the other side of the story from Mr. Dorner. I expect he will be killed while being apprehended whenever they find him.

They certainly have shot up the town when they think they found him, (a car not matching description with two Hispanic women not matching description was shot up pretty good) so I can guess that he will not be taken alive even if unarmed.

The question is who, after the fact, will do a complete neutral investigation of the facts. No one will be looking or asking for it, they have already convicted him in the court of public opinion.

Only One Question On Petraeus Investigation

If you have just the slightest hint of how a FBI investigation works you should be mindful of just one thing that is the foremost important question of all.

How can someone or anyone just pick up the phone or email to a FBI investigator and get results of a harassing email?

Gee I have plenty of those and I’ll bet that I can’t talk to a FBI investigator about it. I’ll bet they would threaten me with jail if I tried more than once. I don’t think the local police will waste there time writing a report for me, a citizen.

It is clear here that this is a misuse of office and probably probably wiretap laws. This was most likely a set-up. They had to make a believable reason for starting this investigation to bring it to a embarrassing level.

I’m sorry, it don’t “jive” with me.

Please just answer the question of why you would do an investigation on a harassing email from a private citizen looking up private communications of high level officials without a wiretap or a suspicion of terror activity?

Could this be the first bad taste of a Patriot Act law being used as I had feared, for political reasons?

I don’t care the who’s or why’s, Just answer the main question please !

Republicans Answer To The Big Money Donars

As we have seen and continue to see all the Republican Key Finance Raising Folks and Mouthpieces try to explain why the poor return on investment, It looks like they still want something for their money other than a poor excuse.

If I were to look at this as a normal investment, this is what I see…

O.K., we help you get all the key states last go around, we then got all the redistricting in those states to slant the voting districts to favor the Republican party.

We helped you enact voter-restriction (voter fraud) laws to help limit those that would have voted for the Democrats in those key states.

We paid for the largest miss-information campaign ever.

We spent a record amount of money. Republican Party and all of its PAC units spent over 1 billion dollars. Think of the good jobs or tax relief that could have made.

While we hear the excuses, could the real reason be any or all of these…

Voters did not trust the politician.

They rejected the message or there was no message.

The lies were obvious and were rejected.

Despite spending 2 years of blaming the mess on Obama, it really looked like it was our fault when we could have been putting good passable plans forward and taking credit for them.

What now?

There will be a new campaign made by those that have money to press those that are still in power to change key personnel currently in government by appointment by smearing their character. Most notably those in regulatory positions and key cabinet positions. If they succeed, they will stall appointments to any regulatory agency unless it is just who they want.

I think you can get a clear view of what is to come just by looking at the call to get rid of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice as Secretary Clinton will be resigning and Obama wants to replace her with Rice.

Get ready for the distasteful Washington Game Of Smear.

I can smell it in the air !

If the Republicans don’t change the song, folks are going to turn to a new station for a alternative song.

You can put extra icing on a turd but to the folks who have tasted one, its still a turd.

Election Over And The Non-Voting Begins

I hate to say I told you so but As we said in our Sept 30, 2012 Post Obama would win with over 330 Electorial Votes.

Now what ?

“The Fiscal Cliff” or so we are told.

I see no agreement looming for anything avoiding the expiration of the Bush Era Tax Cuts or the 10% across the board cuts to the budget.

If you are a avid reader of this site, you will know we said “BRING IT ON” to the fiscal cliff. Not that we want to see the economy take any kind of downturn, but we think that this issue is over dramatized, but this will eliminate the stale-mate in the house. Why?

Because Congress will not agree to anything the President wants, The president only has to do nothing. He can not force House members to vote the way he wants and they have no intention of doing so. Let the tax breaks expire and the 10% budget cuts happen and at that point they now have to negotiate to get any of it back. The Republicans will not be increasing taxes but seeking the tax cuts they had. They will however have to justify and answer to any increased spending and on what areas of the government with the American electors in two years. This could make them the “BIG SPENDERS” next election cycle.

I can only hope they do not push us into a new war to justify Military expenditures.

I see this point their greatest loss as they will be a minority in the government as a whole because they keep playing the same game that has warn the public’s skin a little thin.

The Republicans are now in a damned if you do anything position that they can not win, only maybe break even at best. This is of their own doing from the hard line non-negotiable stance they have made.

Here is what’s really going on.

Many of them have signed pledges not to increase taxes in any way and there is a lot of organized conservative political action money sitting there to unseat them in their own primary election if they do not keep their pledged promise.

Combine that with the political action money organized by folks like Karl Rove that keep them from making any kind of deal outside party lines.

You now have the stale mate and reason we make our prediction here that we will see the Fiscal Cliff and then deals will be made after we cross it. And expecting the show will be distasteful to the electors, a major political shift in the mid-term elections two years from now (2014).

To me, it almost looks like a face saving deal to both party’s made some time ago when the President and Speaker knew that any deal was just not doable within their own party’s.

Now this does speak more to the idea that we can only get effective legislation within a year of a election. Everything else will wait till after the next election.

PAC money (free speech now-a-days) is preventing Congressmen from speaking their mind and voting their mind.

Nothing in site to change this and it can only get worse from here.

Solutions?

Unless you can do something with all that PAC money. Not going to happen unless you can deny both party’s a majority in both the House and Senate by electing independents. Everyone then will be forced to make a deal with someone to do anything and hence the showmanship is over. Yes at that point it would be hard to tie-up legislation in some sub-committee protecting the wishes of any party.

Yes, of 435 House of Representative seats, if each party had only 175 seats, 350 Total for both party’s, and the remaining 85 seats were in the hands of independents who do not caucus with either party, you have a fix for the problem. If you could achieve that, the first item up for bids should be election reform that stops this 2 party organized crime !

Probably not possible but everything else would be !

Election 2012 – Good Bad and Ugly – Political Unfunny

Good News – 3 weeks till the election adds stop.

Bad News – We have to watch election adds for 3 more weeks !

Yes when the election is over the adds will stop and the next thing we will hear from a narrow victory will be the poor losers asking for the recounting of ballots. I can only hope we do not start counting chads again.

I still think the Supreme Court did the right thing in 2000 even though some on the court may have voted for the wrong reasons. The more the ballots were handled, the less accurate the count was going to be. They had no choice but to run with early certified counts. It could have divided the nation even worse than it is/was.

I hope this would be a learning lesson but I know nobody will truly learn from it till it is well forgotten by the folks that voted in that election and it happens again in some other form.

Yes, I can hear claims of election fraud from 3 weeks away !

I can also hear folks questioning computer voting and voter harassment, early voting and registration fraud.

The really ugly:

Thanks to the lobbyist, our laws have a meaning opposite of their intent and so confusing to the public because they use 20 times the number of words needed. It is not a wonder folks have a hard time believing in the government.

Thanks to our merged-up super media, the public is reduced to hearing a few sound bits that explain nothing. Opinion speaks louder than facts and sells more advertising.

Public education is reduced to bringing up the next generation to make worse mistakes than this one has because nobody is there to teach the mistakes of how the rules of a law came to be and why they need to remain. It is more popular to deregulate in the name of JOBS when you need one when actually it is in the name of ignorance of history.

The biggest failure of the current generation shall be written in the historical record as the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999 while the super merged-up media had your attention on Monica Lewinsky, the banking rules that had protected the public since the great depression were removed. Senator Phil Graham of Texas stood there in front of the CSPAN camera and told us that these were outdated and long overdue for removal. Not more than a line of reading of the subject was found in the major media late in broadcast if at all. In less than 8 years, we found out what those rules were really for and how much they were needed.

Anyone learn anything ? We paid the price… AGAIN…

While we barely recovered from it, there is still no transparency for the government to know how solid our banks are. Yet banks are risking our future again !

There is nothing in a trend line to say any of this will change. No political candidate will speak or act against the hand that either feeds their campaign or could feed their opponents instead.

Campaign money is bigger than the candidates themselves. Too bad the big money donors can remain anonymous. We might actually understand the motives for the adds and why they might be untruthful. How will you know when it is a FOREIGN nation or company is financing those attack adds?

When a Political Action Committees (PAC) can generate 100’s of millions of dollars, you do have to wonder just how much the few folks putting up the money will gain from the expected results.

These folks are not driven by social ideals and don’t really care what color your skin is or your religion, they are driven by profits and profit margins and they do not care who or where they come from as long as they get bigger.
