So Mitt Romney did a fair job of expressing on a personal basis just who he is. It was needed. Problem is, along with false jabs at the President was the only thing else presented. Clint Eastwood’s performance was a major distraction in what could have been favorable news coverage after the event.
OK, he rallied his troops. I thought he was after the undecideds?
The end result will be what soon follows ” his big mistake “.
Along with showing his true personality, This was a time to bring the big picture in a message about what he wanted to do and how he wanted to do it. I somehow have a feeling that he did not do that because he knows he will sink with it.
If the public can get a reasonable idea of just who gets hurt in his policy’s he looses, hands down. Better to wait until the last possible moment before a debate so the opposition has not enough time to attack it effectively.
This lost opportunity will be defined by the democrats maybe as soon as their convention. The Republicans will now be playing defense till election day. Not a nice place to be right after your acceptance speech.
Moot Predictions!
So, now it looks like we shall be seeing and hearing all of that money in the Romney campaign and his super pac be spent on very negative adds. The super pac will need to spread a bunch of lies playing over and over. This method is normally effective like the DJ playing a song you did not initially like but after you hear it a hundred times you may be dancing to its tune. Remember the “HEAD ON” commercial ?
If they did not know it was very effective, they would not do it.
Without even waiting for the DNC convention, I am willing to predict that Oboma will win by a larger margin than last time around. That is a pretty good leap even with all of those Voter ID laws removing a bunch a voters who would most likely vote democratic. Gee, why should I trust them with my vote, they may find a way to keep me out of the polls if I should disagree.
After the DNC convention, I predict the democrats will soon define Romneys’ policy’s and go after Congress. I think a change hear is not out of the question if they play it right.
The Republicans, have come off to me as a group that is losing power and will try to change the rules so that they may keep it. I see a new Party emerging and replacing them. After all, what moderate conservative can stand a chance with those neo-capitolist… I mean tea-baggers… I mean tea party folks and the hard non compromising stance they push. The remnant tea party will go it alone through the RNC (where the money is).
The last prediction is that nobody will remember I said it first ! Moot!
